River Cottage Sea Fishing Book
By Nick Fisher
This will be the 6th River Cottage handbook in what has been an excellent series so far which consisted of a book on mushrooms, preserves, bread, vegetables, and the edible seashore. There will also be a book on the edible hedgerow next.
This is the first book in the River Cottage series which will have been written by the well known and respected fishing expert Nick Fisher, who has appeared many times on screen with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall in his popular TV series "River Cottage Gone Fishing".
An introduction by Hugh is followed up by pages dedicated to many of the fishes that you are likely to catch from our shores, as well as expert advice on when and where to fish. There are sections dedicated to the more technical side of fishing such as rigs, knots, rods, tackle and baits. As with many of the other books from the River Cottage series the back section of the book is devoted to giving you some superb recipes to dish up with your recent catches.
Each sea-fish page contains clear photographs allowing you to easily identify your catch as well as information on the conservation status of the fish in question, the habitat that you are likely to encounter it and also the best possible way to go about catching it.
This is a book for the beginner fisherman as well as the more experienced one, whoever you are you will soon be hooked on fishing and will be itching to get out and try your luck at catching all sorts of fish from your local sea shore.
